R.M.S Titanic – 100 Years On

On April 10th 1912, passengers started to board the R.M.S Titanic ready for its maiden voyage to America.

On April 14th 1912, the R.M.S Titanic hit an iceberg where a gaping hole 100 feet long spread across 6 compartments; far too many for Titanic to survive her trip and arrive at her destination.

On April 15th 1912, the R.M.S Titanic sank, along with 1,517 passengers and crew; only 705 people were rescued.

100 years on and this devastating disaster still intrigues us, touches us and makes us feel for those who lost their lives.

Every passenger and crew member should be remembered for their bravery, I wouldn’t like to think how you or I would react in such circumstances.

Lest we forget, in peace may they rest.
