Scared of the Sparks

The nerves in the body
tingle,
intermittent waves of pain
shooting the arms
into the hands.
Bend the arm this way,
numb,
straighten it that way,
pain.
The base of the skull,
the neck,
the weirdest sensation.
A film of pressure
misted with nerves
radiating the head,
not within.
Tilting back
a slight release,
it hits again.
A weakness, the neck,
affecting the body.
Sitting exacerbates, but
standing eases it.
The sensation sticks,
it plays
constantly on loop
spinning the mind.
Scared for the worst,
pleading for the simple,
fear being felt,
incomprehensible.
Holding the thoughts,
telling no one.
Small shocks penetrate
the body in pain,
unable to described.
